“Safety of ultraviolet rays with a wavelength of 222 nm and their effects on new coronaviruses, etc.”

Ushio, Inc. Hiroyuki Ohashi

222 nm ultraviolet rays are highly resistant to pathogens like conventional ultraviolet rays. Although it shows a revitalizing effect, it has been confirmed by multiple medical institutions and universities that it is extremely safe for living organisms.

Information from:

It is well known that germs are everywhere, especially in highly mobile areas such as offices, hospitals, schools, restaurants and shopping malls, where they are extremely likely to cause the spread of germs. The company’s main focus is on the development of a new technology that will help to eliminate germs and cut off the transmission of viruses in a manned environment – Far uvc 222nm technology.

The application of 222nm technology to the epidemic led to the introduction of Care222, capable of removing germs in an occupied environment, thanks to an optical bandpass filter developed by Ushio that blocks UV wavelengths other than 222nm that may have a harmful effect on humans. It selectively inactivates microorganisms but does not cause biological damage to exposed mammalian cells and tissues.

This is a UV-based disinfection method which is based on biophysical principles, since far-UV light can pass through and therefore inactivate bacteria and viruses which are usually micrometres or smaller, whereas far-UV light cannot even penetrate the outer layer of dead cells of human skin or the outer tear layer of the eye surface due to its strong absorption in biological materials.

A key advantage of the UV-based approach is that UV light is likely to be effective against all airborne microorganisms, in marked contrast to vaccination methods. For example, while the inactivation efficiency of UV light will almost certainly vary as different strains of influenza virus emerge, they are unlikely to be significant. Similarly, as multidrug-resistant variants of bacteria emerge, their UV inactivation capacity is unlikely to vary greatly.

The use of Care222 in public places is a safe and effective way to limit the spread and transmission of air-mediated microbial diseases, such as schools, hospitals, stadiums, sports grounds and offices, and this approach may help to limit seasonal infections, the spread of tuberculosis and major epidemics. It’s inevitable far uvc will become part of the new World people are more aware and want to be protected from viruses.

My Lumens Artemis Far UVC Disinfection Devices are equipped with Care222 modules(filtered far uvc 222nm technology) developed by Ushio,Japan.

Countinuously disinfecting in occupied space, keeping the air and surface clean, but harmless to skin and eyes of human. It’s safe!

Care for you, Safe for you, and Protect you!
